Baby Yoga for Colds and Congestion


Hi my names Lucy and I’m a Baby Yoga Instructor and we’re here to show you a little sequence of moves that’s going to be really good if your baby has a cold and is congested before we start (baby sneezes) Oh bless you! we’re going to make sure baby is happy and well and we’re only going to take the moves as far as baby will allow us to or as far as baby wants to so we’ll start with these arms and we can say ‘relax baby, relax’ and we can start with a little roll into these arms a little roly poly….’relax baby, relax’ good girl! and we’re going to bring the arms out to the sides and encourage a stretch out to the sides and back in and out to the sides and back in…. and we’re going to try to make some big circles with the arms very good! and then we’re going to bring one arm across the body and then the other arm in and have a little massage, a little rock and well done! so we’re going to turn these moves into a little rhyme, or a little song we’re going to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star just to help engage baby Twinkle Twinkle Little Star How I wonder what you are Up above the world so high Like a diamond in the sky Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are well done baby! so all of those moves are really good for expanding the chest opening everything up for a lovely stretch and just getting the blood moving the circulation and the lymphatic system and hopefully really helps to get things moving if they’re congested Yes! Well done! Well done.
