  9. Maybe if I had almost died the countless times I was sick as a child, me and my sister would have had a chance to escape our abusive parents. I would have given my limbs for my sisters freedom. 😢💔

  10. In 2011, I almost died from Sepsis. No memory of what happened. This has been told to me by my family. My husband n I went out to eat on Feb 14, 2011. At 4 am on Wed. , I woke with extreme diarrhea. WOMEN, why do we tell ourselves oh I’ll be fine. THOUGHT it might be food poisoning . Now I know with that, i would also have vomiting. So that’s Wednesday, more diarrhea. When my husband kissed me by n kissed me. No memory of that . So now it’s Thurs. Home alone. My husband was at work, I truly believe that was a life saving moment. He gets me dressed n takes me said they

  13. People never want to give God the Glory and Praise He deserves. They always thank the doctors and everyone else. But Lord Jesus I WANT TO thank YOU!!! for saving this man’s life and giving him and his family the strength to continue pushing on! Glory Glory Glory‼️ hallelujah‼️

  14. Was the necrosis of the limb actually caused by the strep or was it due to emboli from vasopressors? I know that when someone goes into shock vasopressors are given which can cause this. It doesn't make sense to me how the bacteria could cause what appears to be ischemic gangrene

  15. All im gonna say is why cant these doctors find the issue? Like if the man says he is in so much pain, and not just normal pain, why dont they try to look more deeply into it? Strep throat is a easily transmitted virus and you have to be cautious

  16. it's like a frostbite, but it's rly crazy how it all came from a strep 🙈…

a strep is like a sore throat right? can be cured using mild hot water with salt for gargle 🤔

  17. That’s awful. I’m glad he has a wife to stand by him and help him. My boyfriend of 3 yrs left me when I was paralyzed.

  18. I had strep throat, and I went to get strep tested. The test kept coming out negative because the machine was only able to test the most common form of strep threat. I had a mild form, so I was eventually diagnosed with strep and then I was tested for Mono. It came back positive and I didn't go to school for weeks. I become depressed and had to have a steroid shot so my throat wouldn't close up. I had strep super bad, my throat was basically bleeding.

  19. I got strep in my leg from scratching an itch after handling hamburger. Always wash your hands after handling raw meat, I did wash but apparently not enough. I was lucky not to lose my leg. I was off work for a week and gave myself anti-biotics for a week after that through a pick-line. Strep is a nasty virus.

  20. 100% it's Necrotizing Fasciitis. Flesh eating disease. I know because I contracted it from Staph. It almost looks like gangrene as well. I've had 19 major operations. Why isn't NEC Fas more of a topic for awareness?

  21. Omg so scary my heart goes out to him & his family. Am scared now I had a strep throat I drank all my medication and now it’s all back again I don’t get it?

  22. My son got strep throat and became septic. While he was sick he developed cellulitis in both hands and feet. It crept up his arms and legs. It got all the way to his shoulders and thighs before it got better. He was lucky he made a full recovery. It's the cellulitis that kills the cells that causes people to lose their limbs from getting septic from infections.

  23. My brother had this – necrotising fasciitis – back in 1993. Thankfully the docs discovered what it was in time. They kept him in an induced coma for 14 days and kept the infected areas open to the air, with ice packs. He survived with all limbs intact, a true miracle case. Back in those days they called it the flesh-eating disease.

  24. It must be weird for her when they were making love and she looks down and sees him groping her with those mummy fingers. Why did they wait to chop those things off???
